Canada's Aboriginal Culture

A culture is a living thing. It lives through our stories, songs and dances. We have been given names. We have been given clan systems. We have our language. We have our stories. All of these things are very important. That's our way of life, the very core of us. We are our stories; our stories of the land, of the environment, of our past times, of now, define our place and who we are. Our beliefs are born from living on the land for a long time. The sacred teachings come from our connection with the land, with the Great Spirit and with our forefathers.

We want to share our stories with you, our beliefs, our way of life. We live by stories, we also live in them. One way or another we are living our stories planted in us early or along the way. We are also living the stories we planted in ourselves. We live stories that give our lives meaning. If we change the stories we live by, we change our lives.

The Creator Gave Us Four Principle Teachings

There are four principle teachings that the Creator gave to us to know: Be kind above all, to be honest in all things, to share all that we have, and if we do these things correctly, then that is where we gain our strength.

Our Culture, Our Stories, Our People and Our Heritage

This web site is created and maintained by Eagle's Earth; an authentic Native American historical experience in the James Bay Frontier. Several years ago, our passion to share our ancient culture was but a newly lit flame and now a modern Northern Ontario Canada Interpretive Centre has been created. The Cree and Ojibway ancient heritage can now be heard. Eagle's Earth is born.
